Es begann mit einem Funken: Wie können wir die Seele Alexandriens nach Europa bringen? Wir vermissten die Molokhia, den Geruch von gegrillter Sayadeya und die Wärme ägyptischer Zusammenkünfte.
📝 Die Idee nimmt Gestalt an
Der Name „Eskandria“ wurde als Hommage an Ägyptens kulturelle Hauptstadt gewählt. Wir begannen, Straßenessen-Traditionen mit moderner Präsentation zu verbinden.
🍳 Von der Küche zum Konzept
Wir haben mit Rezepten experimentiert: von Falafel- und Käsetellern bis hin zu polnischen Desserts. Freunde und Nachbarn haben uns geholfen, das Menü zu gestalten.
🏠 Der erste Standort
Wir haben unsere Türen in Berlin geöffnet und ägyptische Gastfreundschaft mit gemütlichen, modernen Interieurs kombiniert. Es war nicht nur ein Restaurant – es wurde zu einem Treffpunkt.
